The PA IOLTA Board is committed to funding organizations that observe principles of racial equity in their internal operations and advance the goals of racial justice through their service programs and advocacy. Racial justice has been defined as the systematic fair treatment of people of all races resulting in equitable opportunities and outcomes for all. It is not just the absence of discrimination and inequities, but also the presence of deliberate systems and supports to achieve and sustain racial equity through proactive and preventative measures. IOLTA grantees should advance solutions that have been developed in collaboration with impacted communities.* IOLTA grantees should also diversify their staff and leadership structures.
The Client and Organizational Demographics data reports will permit the PA IOLTA Board to establish benchmarks and measure progress with client, staff, student and board diversity. Please note that the IOLTA Board is collecting aggregated data, not data on individuals. IOLTA Board staff may request additional information from grantees at a later date, and formal requirements may be incorporated into future funding cycles.
